In development · Early public access coming soon

See what's breaking out on YouTube.

HypeBeam identifies YouTube-native hypes as they spread across independent creators, then estimates their reach, creator breadth and momentum — not just isolated trending videos or keyword spikes.

The initial public service will be free. No user account is required for this website.

Cross-channel signal
From isolated uploads to a coherent hype

HypeBeam looks for related activity appearing across multiple independent creators before expanding analysis more broadly.

How it works

Designed to detect propagation, not just popularity.

HypeBeam combines cross-channel discovery with broader YouTube analysis to distinguish a spreading hype from a single successful upload.

01 · DETECT

Detect

We monitor a broad fixed network of YouTube creators for unusual cross-channel activity and repeated emerging entities.

02 · UNDERSTAND

Understand

Related videos are grouped into coherent emerging hypes instead of being treated as isolated trending videos or keyword spikes.

03 · MEASURE

Measure

After a hype is confirmed, HypeBeam expands the analysis across YouTube and estimates reach, creator breadth, strength and momentum.

Use of YouTube API Services

Public data in. Independent analysis out.

HypeBeam uses the YouTube Data API to retrieve publicly available video, channel, search-result and statistics data needed to identify and measure emerging hypes.

HypeBeam analyzes public video and channel information such as identifiers, titles, publication timestamps, channel identifiers and publicly available statistics.
For actively monitored videos, public statistics may be refreshed multiple times per day to measure changes in momentum.
HypeBeam generates independent derived analytics, including estimates of hype reach, creator breadth, strength and momentum. These are HypeBeam metrics, not metrics supplied by YouTube.
HypeBeam does not currently use Google OAuth, request access to private YouTube data, or collect users' YouTube credentials.
YouTube API data is refreshed, retained or deleted in accordance with the applicable YouTube API Services Developer Policies and any additional permissions granted to HypeBeam.
More detail is available in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Planned public dashboard

Rising and strongest hypes, organized by context.

The planned public dashboard will organize detected hypes into useful thematic areas. Coverage will develop over time and will not claim to represent all activity on YouTube.
